03/18/18 Fitness by Jacflash, Women’s Legs, Booty and Arms Workshop with Trainer Lara Marquez and Acupuncturist Amrit Singh

Curls By Girls. Nothing tones the arms better than a bicep and tricep workout.

On Sunday, March 18th Fitness by Jacflash hosted another🔥 Sunday Booty Workshop with trainer Lara Marquez!

We were thrilled to have Flow water supply us with their naturally alkaline spring water.

And goodie bag sponsors included Primal Kitchen, Handfuel, Pacifica, Welo, One Life Meals and Crave Healthy Habits.

We were equally excited to have Acupuncturist Amrit Singh speak for us at the beginning of the workshop.

Amrit explained to us how acupuncture works and how it can help us ladies regulate our hormones, PMS, skin, menstrual irregularities and assist in baby making on top of all the other things our we manage on a daily!
Amrit also:
1)  Demonstrated cupping and explained it’s benefits

 

2)  Showed us some self-acupressure love to help move our energy when we are feeling down or low on energy, which she showed can easily be done at your desk in less than 5 minutes!
3) Demonstrated a quick facial acupressure protocol that we can do for puffy eyes, if you feel foggy headed or when you need a quick pick me after staring at the computer screen for too long!

Our Sunday trainer Lara Marquez then paired up our BOOTY workout series with squats, thrusts and lunges.

 

03/08/18 Women’s Day Workshop with Fitness by Jacflash and Fit Squad!

Fitness by Jacflash was THRILLED to host our WOMEN’S DAY workshop with Fit Squad, where all proceeds benefitted sistering.org !

Thank you Nike Toronto for the Women’s Day special edition tees!

Fit Squad trainer Jennifer Lau lead us in an incredible workout at MOVE.

MOVE is a beautiful boutique fitness club exclusively for women on Toronto’s east side offering small group training and personal training services.

It has been featured on the likes of BlogTO and TorontoLife.
Sistering is a multi-service agency for at-risk, socially isolated women in Toronto who are homeless or precariously housed. Serving the commodity for over 35 years, validating women’s experiences regardless of outcomes. These marginalized women come from diverse backgrounds and include: women with substance use and mental health issues; women who have experienced, or are experiencing trauma and violence; immigrant and refugee women; women with disabilities and women without legal status.
Sistering creates a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental space for women. They are guided by principles of feminism, anti-racism and anti-oppression. Sistering offers practical and emotional support to women who experience social isolation, homelessness or precarious housing, trauma and violence, discrimination, substance use, or need mental health support. Their equitable programs and services enable women to take greater control over their lives. Sistering works in collaboration with others in the community to change the social conditions that endanger women’s welfare.

Our speaker Michal Kay was the 2017 Campaign Director for Jagmeet Singh’s successful NDP Leadership Campaign. She was one of Chatelaine’s Top Women in Canada of 2017. Michal currently sits on the Board of the Broadbent Institute, The Urban Worker Project, and the Toronto Environmental Alliance.

She served as Chief of Staff to Toronto City Councillor Mike Layton and in 2014 she was Field Director for Olivia Chow’s Toronto Mayoral Campaign.
Through her work and activism, Michal has had leading roles on a number of issue based and electoral campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels across Canada.
Our workout was lead by Fit Squad, a personal training and small group fitness training company located in downtown Toronto.

The culture they have built is that of always pushing personal limits and driving forward, both inside and outside the gym. 03/04/18 Fitness by Jacflash, Women’s Abs and Booty Workshop with Trainer Lara Marquez and Cancer Survivor Ana Bogdonovic

 

On Sunday, March 4th from 12:30-2:30 workshop with trainer Lara Marquez who will be motivating, leading and guiding you through every press down and push up along with Squats, Thrusts and everything else the booty needs.

We also had tables with Flying Chia and Whole-y Granol-y!

Ana Bogdonovic (@mwlbyana), cancer survivor, shared her incredible story of how she was diagnosed with breast cancer in her twenties and how she became a survivor. Ana went through 36 rounds of chemo and was diagnosed with stage 3 at 24 years old. She read us a page from her journal that she wrote during her treatments and taught us how to listen to our bodies and gut, even when doctors are telling you that nothing is wrong, as this is ultimately what saved her life. Ana is passionate about informing young women about early cancer detection and self love.

Then our Sunday trainer, Lara Marquez brought us back the crowd pleaser working abs and booty!

02/25/18 Fitness by Jacflash, Women’s Legs, Booty and Chest Workshop with Trainer Lara Marquez and Uplifting Tarot Reader and Reiki Master Kayla Marie

Chest day is the BEST Day (and always BOOTY!!!)

On Sunday, February 25th #fitnessbyjacflash put together our Booty workshop with trainer Lara Marquez. Lara who will be motivated, lead and guided us through every press down and push up along with Squats, Thrusts and everything else the booty needed.

We also welcomed Kayla Marie (@upliftingtarot) speak, an Uplifting Tarot reader and Reiki Master with a message of empowerment for you: You are creating your future right now! Kayla created Uplifting Tarot to align you with the highest version of yourself, and create a life that matches that vibration. Kayla encouraged us to use tarot as a powerful tool to sharpen our intuition, and show us what’s blocking us from what we really want, as well as using Reiki to clean up our old limiting beliefs! Kayla even gave all 40 women a personalized reading during the workshop.

02/11/18 Fitness by Jacflash, Women’s Legs, Booty and Shoulder Workshop with Trainer Lara Marquez and Owner of Sugar Toronto, Karen Holek

Get, that, dirt off your shoulders… 👊

On Sunday, February 11th from 12:30-2:30, #FitnessbyJacflash had our Sunday workshop with trainer Lara Marquez who is heated up her BOOTY workout series with a shoulders burner. Squats, Presses, Rows and more.

Though it was hailing outside, the loft room was  🔥

 

We were also super excited to have the owner of Sugar Toronto, Karen Holek speak for half an hour at the workshop. Karen has been sugaring (an all natural form of hair removal) for 7 years. Being exposed to women in an intimate scenario has brought up many sensitive conversations about self love. The trust gained from her clients over the years has given her the unique opportunity to empower women by normalizing and desexualizing the vagina.
