Munira Hudani received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2009. She is part of a small group of physiotherapists in Toronto who have extensive experience in the field of Pelvic Health. Her specialized post-graduate training in pelvic floor muscle dysfunction allows her to treat urinary dysfunction, bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and chronic pelvic pain.
Munira is highly passionate about pre-natal and post-partum care, as well as helping women with prolapse. She recently co-founded Made for Women Workouts™ in efforts to help more women with prolapse continue living active lifestyles. She is concurrently working on numerous projects aimed to further awareness of pre- and post-natal care, prolapse, and diastasis rectus abdominis to both the pelvic health community and to the population at large.
She continues to maintain a busy caseload where her clinical expertise is pursued by women of all ages. Her clientele includes doctors, medical specialists, midwives, fitness professionals, as well as other women’s health physiotherapists. She runs her clinical practice with passion and compassion as she strives to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
In this workshop, Munira help us to “get centered” as she aided in our discover our true core. We found out which muscles make up the core (hint: they weren’t the ones we were thinking) and what happens when these muscles become dysfunctional. Munira also revealed how to strengthen one particular core muscle that is key in flattening our abdomen. With this new lens of appreciation, we felt connected to the deepest, stabilizing system in our bodies. By the end of this engaging and interactive workshop, we learned more about parts of your body that we didn’t even know existed and exactly how to use these invisible parts inside of any exercise we do!
